I am extremely satisfied with Joe and his operation at Bulletproof Marine. An unfortunate situation with my Boston Whaler and a jetty enabled me to do some comprehensive research of marine services throughout the SD area. I found a lot of positive information about Bulletproof and it was backed up by my experience. Not only was Joe willing to take on the extensive repair job, but he was fluent with the insurance procedures and worked directly with my provider to minimize the workload for me.... to include even door to door pick up and drop off of my boat. It's a 1997 hull and was pretty trashed after the grounding, but his shops meticulous attention to detail made it look practically new! It is really remarkable. All throughout the process, he personally kept me informed of the progress and an approximate timeline, which was appreciated. I'd definitely recommend Joe and Bulletproof Marine on any and all manner of marine projects they are willing to take on... he will definitely under promise and over deliver. I was so satisfied that I reached out to him first when it came time to switching my steering out to hydraulics. Again, as in the first repair, he got me into the shop in a timely manner and the work was done quickly and professionally. I've worked with other shops in the area (DD and BG) and they either have too much work that they can't do a good job or they just don't give a s#!t.

Had some regular maintenance to get done and contacted Joe to request a quote. After further inspection they found some other issues with the boat and diligently worked quickly to get the boat back in the water as quickly as possible. His communication throughout the process was prompt and honest. His documentation and pictures throughout kept me well informed and at ease through the process. In the boating business I haven't experienced someone like Joe who looks out for his customers and goes out of his was to make sure they are taken care of even at a loss of profit to him. I will definitely be using Bullet Proof Marine throughout my time here in San Diego.

I called Joe after I discovered I had a leaking starboard fuel tank and he was there the next day gave me an estimate had the tank done in two weeks he and his team are professional efficient fast fairly priced don’t know what else I can say about Joe and Bullet Proof Marine they’re great at what they do…. I highly recommend them if you need something done of your yacht

Bulletproof has taken great care of my boat. Joe has pointed out many different problems that other people/companies have missed (or did incorrectly) and has recommended upgrades which have made the boat much better. Joe is responsive too and will work with you to remedy anything that you may have questions about or come across. I'll be recommending this company to anyone looking to get work done.

Bulletproof Marine gets 5 out of 5 stars. I would give 10 stars if I could. Always ontime and professional, Joe and his team upgraded my Throttle Controls right the first time. Bullet Proof Marine Services did an outstanding job on my boat. I had the entire boat color sanded for a mirror finish that looks better then when it was purchased. Joe is also extremely knowledgeable and helped to guide me in the right direction for the items I needed to make my boat more capable in saltwater. Overall the service, work and professionalism is outstanding. I would not take my boat anywhere else.

Repair of damage to the fiberglass hull of a modern boat is not a simple or inexpensive job, but Joe and his people did a fantastic job on on my boat and i could really see and understand where the money was invested. I would highly recommend this man and his shop.

Bullet Proof Marine was able to quickly take care of everything my MasterCraft Stars and Stripes needed to get me back on the water. Joe is very knowledgeable and excellent at communicating through the whole process. They went above and beyond to great care of my boat as of it was their own. Great service and great prices!

Joe and his crew do top quality work that cover all of the needs of your boat. My boat is 30 years old and after Covid needed maintenance. Little did I realize how much. I initially discovered my old fuel tank was leaking and was immediately alarmed. Joe removed the tank and fuel safely and built me a new beautiful extra sturdy lightweight tank! Upon removal he discovered unhealthy mildew in the bilge and tank area. I thought it was just jet fuel residue as it sits in a slip in SD bay. He customized a sanding and epoxy paint treatment that saved my boat and I don’t have to ever worry about that again. Finally, he upgraded my electrical and gauges as well. All through the process, Joe communicates with you and gives you priority options based on your budget. He even replaced my left and right insulation sections inside the cockpit that turned out gorgeous! This all occurred in a timely manner and I can’t thank them enough. Highly recommend!
